About

I couldn’t decide on any kind of theme, so I’ve decided to just randomly carry on about whatever I feel like.  I’ve been doing that for years anyway, truth be told,  and it kind of comes naturally.

So what sorts of things do I like?  Well for one I like to write.  I’ve been doing it since I was a little kid.  I used to make my own little “horror novels” on stapled together sheets of notebook paper which I would force my family members to read.  I was convinced I was just as good as Stephen King.  (I wasn’t.)  If I can locate some of these ancient atrocities, which I guarantee I still have somewhere, I may scan them in and post them, just for laughs.  (Because I’ve found out through much trial and error that what I’m particularly gifted at is getting cheap laughs from a seemingly endless supply of self deprecating humor frequently peppered with movie references or other tidbits of pop culture lore. )

I laughed reading some of your stuff. And I love laughing.
    Keep writing!

I love to make people laugh! That’s my main reason for writing, I think. Glad to hear it works sometimes!

Your stone story was so compelling I just had to come along and find out more. I look forward to more stories!

Haha! Our early work can be a great source of laughter (and embarrassment!) You’re braver than I am- I would never consider posting it. EVER 🙂

Well to be fair, I haven’t actually done so…yet!

I used to write little horror stories, too, and I also envisioned myself the next Stephen King. Guess I was wrong…

Thanks for visiting my site. I appreciate it!

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who isn’t as good as Stephen King! Don’t kid yourself though…Your writing is pretty damn good! 😉

Great blog, thanks for following mine.

    • domingosaurus August 16, 2015 at 7:24 am #

Thanks! And your blog is great by the way. Sorry I haven’t stopped by more often, but that’s something I am planning on remedying.

Don’t apologise stop by whenever you want.

Thanks for following me. Your description of yourself reminds me a little of my husband, he’s a comic artist. http://zinccomics.com

Thanks! Your husband’s art is great! Is he a fan of the B 52s? (They have a song called 52 Girls. It’s actually one of my favorite songs of theirs!)

Thanks for following me too. I didn’t plan to almost copy Skywalkerstoryteller, but your description of yourself reminds me a little of my X husband. He was a comic artist. Maybe he still is. He used to tell me to lighten up. I’m glad you found me, because I could use more humor in my life, which is otherwise pretty darn good. I’m looking forward to reading more of your posts and strengthening my sense of humor as I age gracefully. 😉

Thanks for following, and stopping by to comment! 🙂 And an extra thank you actually because until I saw your comment on here, I didn’t even realize others had been commenting on my “About” page! (I need to pay more attention to this I guess.) Hope you enjoy my blogs, but be forewarned, some of my posts are a little…”out there” I guess is the best way to put it.

      • JoAnne August 17, 2015 at 5:49 pm #

Sometimes “a little out there” can be a good thing. Sometimes. 🙂

Success! I already laughed and found your ‘About’ page entertaining. I laughed that you made your family read your horror novels, I can almost see the ‘eye rolls’, ha!

    • domingosaurus August 21, 2015 at 2:51 am #

For the longest time I thought eye rolls were a way of expressing admiration. Imagine my disappointment when I learned otherwise.
